Arthur LeVine Passes Away

We received bad news yesterday: Arthur LeVine, founder of Lansky Sharpeners, died of a heart attack. Arthur was a long-time friend of BLADE and the BLADE Show and was perhaps best known for Lansky's angle-guide sharpeners. As far as I have been able to gather, he was 59.

Steve, hello my dad Orlin used to correspond with you years ago. He tuned 83 last week. He has the distinction of having one of the very few Bob Loveless knifes engraved by Leyton Mckensie. Iam a retired Special Forces soldier and work the war effort now as a civilian. My dad asked me to contact you and ask if you have any influence at the Wall Street Journal? My Mom a Korean wartime nurse 1stLT Elaine M. Cole graduate of Lennox H ill in Manhatten NYC passed away this June 21. He has been trying unsucessfully to get her obit in WSJ. My mom was a great lady her Grandfather ran the Boat house for the Roosevelts at Oyterbay bay before World War two. Her Mom cooked for some of the most influential familys on the East coast during the 1930's and 40's .Any help would be appreciated.

I had an unfortunate encounter with the laws of motion. I ride (or rode) a sidecar bike. Broke something going into a corner, lost control and tried to do the hillbilly superman. Failed to stick the landing. Hit a curb, wiped out a stop sign, and slid for 20 ft. Hit my head, tore up the jacket and helmet, and woke up looking up at an EMT. It'll probably be another 6-8 week before I can swing a hammer. Could be much worse.

Steve,

We couldn't get there this year, what with the busted collar bone and all. Next year is up in the air, too, since I hope to be working on my MS pieces. I'm sure we'll run into you around, though.

Geoff
