Breaking from my norm, I recently picked up a knife with full serrations. The serrations are not evenly spaced. Some are wide, some are narrow. The design was no mistake. It opened up many more utility scenarios. I just match the serration to the size of the job. Most day-to-day tasks take only microns of blade space to cut anyway.
The day will come when those serrations will need sharpening. What's the best way to do it?
CRKT designer Tom Veff (and inventor of the Veff serration) recommended adhering sandpaper to a dowel, then running it inside the serration. That seems like a good idea, but I don't want to make several dowels of differing sizes.
