Permalink Reply by Paul Crane on July 6, 2011 at 6:18pm Believe it or now I read through this in it's entirety and talk about vague laws. I'm just starting a new online store, www.pacsknives.com, and I'm trying to track down all the laws about shipping knives to states. These laws mostly talk about switch blades and now locking blades. What about blades that never fold such as hunting or survival knives. If you know of a good source for what knives are illegal to ship to which states, let me know. I've already resorted to putting text on my site telling them I won't ship to New York and I haven't even officially opened it yet.
Thought this would be a great type of store to set up. my brother-in-law actually builds knives for a company and his son, my nephew, is serving in the army and just returned from Afghanistan. I set this store up to hopefully be run by these two but sifting through all of the laws has not been fun.
