Now at the age of sixty, I finally have made some decisions that while I am still able and in relatively good health, I am going to fulfill a few things in my life that I seem to have been putting off some some time -----for the last 45 years or so I have been restoring musical instruments---mostly stringed----guitars---both electric and acoustic----mandolins, banjos, upright basses----so I have decided to have a Bowie commissioned to my specs--having an avid interest in the Alamo, my Bowie will be designed from that era and perspective----I figured that since I have been "fixing" other people,s guitars for such along time, it was time to have a Bowie made to my specs both from a historical and cosmetic side---I believe the man making my blade will be just what I want-----I just hope to get it sooner than later-----Anyone can reach me at my guitar shop-----I am warranty at the "A" level or the "Gold" level for all major brands-------let's talk BOWIE'S ---let's talk guitars-----Skip Goez-----3103 Sutton----Malplwood, Missouri----63143------314-647-1211----wegoez@sbcglobal.net

Hi Skip,

My name is Timothy; my Father made custom guitars both acoustic and electric;  I myself am working on building a custom hollow body electric guitar, as a tribute to wildland firefighters. I also make custom knives and own Timothy Knives where I make a variety of custom knives.  Are you looking for a craftsman or have you already chose the person to make your bowie? If you have not, I would like to discuss it with you.  I have a profile page here on this site, my email address is timothy@timothyknives.com. Look forward to talking with you.

God Bless,

Timothy

When you order your Bowie don't overlook putting your specifications in writing. While you are waiting, whenever you have communication with the maker (verbal/email/whatever) don't hesitate to remind him of your specs.

My emphasis on this is based on experience. Even though I had my Bowie specs in writing and confirmed in writing by the maker, my two Bowies arrived an inch shorter than specified. After waiting a year and a half.
