This was given to me as a gift from a friend who came by it at an estate sale. My guess is that it is 18th century german or prussian. There is a maker's mark on the thumb guard that I can not make out and the spine is engraved in script: "foh Strollberger Munoheim" as far as I can make out. A crest is also engraved and inlaid w/ gold on the blade though only a small amount of gold remains but the sword is in remarkable shape overall. I'd welcome any input.
