Folding knives, or folders, have blades that fold, most often into a slot within the handle frames, or between handle halves and slabs. There are many renditions of folders, including pocketknives, assisted-opening folders, automatics or switchblades, butterfly knives and one-hand-opening, locking folders with or without pocket clips.
