Custom Knives

In the literal sense, custom knives are those that have been custom ordered by people with specific materials, blade steels and/or knife styles in mind. In the non-literal sense, the term “custom knife” is often used to refer to a handmade knife rather than a factory or production piece, one that does not come off high-production (hundreds or thousands of knives) presses or assembly lines, but is frequently a one-of-a-kind or limited edition, a knife built in a maker’s shop or operation, and whether forged or made using the stock-removal method of blade making, usually ground, sharpened, finished and assembled by hand.
