May 27, 2009 Iola, WI – Collectors of cutlery as well as custom and tactical knives will convene Sept. 11-13 at the BLADE West Show at the Portland, Ore., Monarch Hotel & Conference Center. Sponsored by BLADE magazine, the event will host an international roster of top custom knifemakers, manufacturers and knifemaking suppliers in over 85 booths and table top displays- 13,000 square feet of knife exhibits in all!
Free Super Seminars are a hallmark of Blade Shows. In addition to these educational sessions, BLADE Show West will feature outdoor forging demonstrations that will fascinate knife enthusiasts of all ages.
BLADE Show West exhibitors include cutting edge and traditional factory-produced lines across an array of practical and tactical knives. In addition, the country’s leading custom knifemakers will showcase unique handmade knives. The show is also the site for the BLADE Handmade ™ Awards & Custom Knife Awards. Winners are determined by recognizing knifemakers’ performances in handmade knife judging competitions over a calendar year, counted cumulatively from participating shows nationwide beginning and ending with BLADE Show West.

Friday, Sept. 11, 2009 – Noon to 6 p.m.
Saturday, September 12 – 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday, September 13 – 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
