Corey Graff, BLADE online content manager, took to Las Vegas for the Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show the week of Jan. 18. On display were new products for 2010 from the major knife companies. Graff snapped photos of a few standouts, including these from Columbia River Knife and Tool (CRKT).

Two things especially caught Graff's eye.

First, CRKT employed Ken Onion designs to create new "designer tacticals." These knives featured slick, modern shells normally seen in gentleman-style pieces. The difference was their use. These fashionable knives were meant for tactical purposes.

Second, Graff noticed the new Flux, from CRKT's ID Works line. This multi-tool system offered tons of customizable options. A double rail carabiner formed the chassis for the tool. Up to two multitool add-ons could slide onto the carabiner, and there were several to choose.

For example, in the image above, a flash drive and hex driver could slide onto the carabiner. Or, as in the image below, a knife and bottle opener could be attached.
